possibilities
This was made at Butchart Gardens in Victoria. I created at least 40 images of this section of the lake. Something drew me to it, I think it was the light on the moss and the way the water kissed the edge of the woods. If you divide this square diagonally you have clear reflective simplicity on one side and depth and complexities on the other. The contrast is highlighted by the light.

a short timeout
I was refreshed with these soft pink and limey green hydrangeas during my steamy walk in the garden this morning at Planting Fields. I'm having a lovely family intermission away from my photography but I'll be back at it soon. My creative brain is working but my time is not my own right now.

inspired
I've been infused with light and energy. My brain feels more like this now, filled with an ability to change shapes and views. I'm feeling an upward direction, anything is possible behind my lens.

I'm off!
I love color but in this image I'm happier without it. I'm off to Vancouver for a photography conference and I imagine my brain will resemble this image when I'm done. I'm hoping to find clarity in my vision, possibilities for my work, and new friends. Stay tuned...
