endless possibilities,

This is a good time of year to go find a pond and stare deeply into it.

Spend enough time to see the endless possibilities.

Then bring the fluidity to your heart and share it with others.

Red tailed hawk

I'd like to introduce to you our resident red tailed hawk.
Sitting in our tree next to the house is her favorite spot during the day.
Actually it provides a very clear view of the bird feeder. hmmm

I find myself looking for her everyday now, while also keeping a close eye on the bird feeder..

A color palette

The sun had not quite risen but certainly previewed what was to come.

The world turned soft and misty on this new Scottish day

It lit the woodland edges and warmed me.

And as the day came to an end this partridge reminded me of how it all began.

She carries the palette of the day in her feathers.
(Or maybe he does)

Scotland

Meet these three dogs from Scotland.

They are hard working, proud and strong.

If Tully ever met them she would be very impressed.
I know I was...

transitions

We are sitting on the edge of change, my garden is so tired but still willing to sacrifice a few flowers for our dining room table. Once they realize they have come inside they let go of their endurance, and collapse in a soft and slightly faded heap.

The butterflies are taking their last sips and soon they will be gone as well.

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Do your remember yesterday (mom) and tomorrow (owlet)? I followed this family for months back in 2012. They captured my heart in such a way that I have kept them hidden in a folder all these years. It was just too hard to look at them knowing that Tomorrow never survived.

I even wrote a preliminary book about them which I have just uncovered on the shelf in my studio.

The book was my first attempt at their story but I couldn't figure out how to end it. I still can't.
But I'm now willing to open that folder and spend time with them again.
Hopefully I'll find the answer there.
