Happy faces in the garden. Mine included now that the sun has decided to shine.

purple iris

There is such beauty in a tight bud just waiting for the right moment to release itself upon the garden.

And when those petals fall open the joy is palpable.

groceries

This red bellied woodpecker had been very busy these last few days. He grabs a sunflower seed from the feeder and flies over to the tree.

Then he jams it into the cracks of the old soul.

Once that is done he flies back for more.

And that went on for hours.

A hug

It's true, I may have spent too many days with this drizzle and rain. But do you see what I see? A little orangey rock bear is giving a hug to mom. They live at the beach, they don't travel far. Rock cub is learning how to be happy staying home.

drizzle days

This image was created last year in mid May and I have no idea what name it goes by.
It's all frothy and delicate, a sea of tiny blossoms. I'm looking forward for the skies to clear so I can get my hands dirty in the garden once again.
