a surfer

I have been wandering through my Florida images and found this guy having the time of his life.
He was awesome!

When I zoom in on the photographs I can see the bubbly details in the breaking waves. What a great morning to watch him while I sipped my morning coffee, standing safe and dry behind my tripod.

Scotland

It's a rainy day and I'm in the midst of a slow hazy thought process as I sink into my images.
I want to lie down in that deep grass and smell the world.

Tully has a word

Just wanted to stop by and say woof.
Mom has been putting every other creature on her post so I thought I'd just join the crowd.
When I'm done with this I'm going to roll over and have a belly rub.

I see you

I wish this Bard owl was here now in our trees, but he's not.
In fact he was in a tree in the Everglades back in 2015.
I've been working on old photographs.
I"m looking into the eyes that have been looking back at me.

mother thoughts

I'm the mother of chicks, and I'm exhausted.

I can barely keep track of all of them. I think there are ten. Lord help me.

Every time I turn around I'm either stepping on them or they're climbing on me.

These two are planing an escape.
I wonder if they'll take me with them...

Lemur

First of all thank you for all of the emails I received yesterday from so many of you.
It feels so good to be back immersed in my images once again.
This Lemur was at the Palm Beach Zoo. It is always emotionally difficult for me to photograph captive animals but an easy place for me to practice my craft. Where else would I meet a Lemur?
The eyes say it all..

I'm back

Life got in the way of my blog.
Went to the mountains for 10 days and came home sick. All my energy went into getting better and now I'm recovering although more slowly than I like.
Nothing serious but certainly very annoying!
So I'm sorry to have gone missing but I'm back and happy to be here.
I'm working on my photographs and want to share this red fox image that I love. My photography is all about connecting, with you and with my love of animals and birds. I hope this little red fox connects with you the way he did with me.
