The underside

This image was created the same morning as the previous post but just before the sun actually rose.
I waited for the waves to pull back from the sand leaving a fleeting memory of the sky.
All soft and full of the day's potential.

frolicking

This ring billed gull has found a piece of palm bark and spent the afternoon playing with it.

He soared and dropped and caught in mid air, over and over again. He was entertaining himself and having a wonderful time.

Then the others joined in and swooped and dropped the day away. A
shared experience for all of us. I was exhausted just watching them!

good morning

Early morning hopefuls at Hobe Sound Public Beach.

The waves were powerful and crashing into white frothy foam that barely visited the beach before the tides forced it back upon itself.

me, myself and sky

I like being alone with myself early in the morning.
The sun is behind my back and lights the Turks & Caicos sky.

into the light

Once again it's all about the light. In the shade of the wetlands this glossy ibis appears unassuming and plain, but when she steps into the light her iridescent feathers took my breath away.

And this green heron captured my attention as well. There is so much beauty out there.

ruddy turnstones

Can you feel the warmth of the sun setting over the ocean?

What a difference the time of day makes with the way you feel about an image.
