My brain is on overload, my computer's hard drive crashed, while that is getting replaced I am thanking my lucky stars that my 35,000 images are stored on portable hard drives. Now I'm in the process of reloading everything else that got wiped out. This image reminds me of the inside of my brain or is it my heart!

A walk around

This plant drew me in to another world, the more I walked around it the more I discovered hidden views.

The top image seems all soft and dreamy but the bottom image says back off, I'm not so gentle after all...

It's amazing what you can find when you lose yourself in the garden. Little hopeful stars remind me of how lucky I am.....

It is a busy time here in Long Island. The birds are singing, the flowers are budding and blooming, Tully is romping, and my finger nails are filled with dirt. What a great time of year!

A Different View

There are so many ways to see the world. These two images were taken within 10 seconds of each other.  A few simple steps allowed me to see the light in a very different way. A beautiful sunset as seen in the grid work of a home on the Gulf of Mexico.

On somedays the world looks all warm and orange and a bit out of focus. The splash of blue allows the orange to better capture my attention. A bird of paradise viewed through another focal plane.

Water, lapping and curling and reflecting and designing patterns as it followed our boat wherever we went.

Beauty comes along and sometimes we judge before we really take the time to see. Look at these soft concerned brow folds, and those warm brown eyes. He is a solid dog, a dog who knows how to take it all in while he rests waiting for his master to finish lunch....

When you look into the eyes of this child you see the soul of a man.

Go ahead step through the opening and get sand in your toes and wash them off in the Gulf of Mexico. The water is warm and gently laps the beach. Flat and calm, a good way to end a day..

I'm back!

Was it the avian flu, the camera bug or maybe the transitional tremors? What ever it was it got a hold of me and knocked me to my bed for 5 DAYS!

And I left you hanging with my hanging rat snake. Except my apologies please. Hopefully this very upbeat and colorful image will be a good replacement for the last nasty one. And now I have to apologize to the rat snake for that comment.

This image was taken just before leaving FL. I love all of the various stages of bougainvillea blossoms floating on the surface of our pool. Some were saturated with color and some had lost everything but their veiny fragile paper like skin. A visual kaleidoscope.

The Least Terns

The least terns are mating on the beach and nesting in the grasses. Apparently the male offers the silver fish as an inticement, seems to work everytime as they are all behaving in the same way. It is so beautiful over at the beach now with all of these birds. The conservation people came by yesterday and roped off the area where they are nesting. They say that more will come. This makes it hard to leave Florida...

We just got back from a boat trip going from the east coast of FL through canals and locks and Lake Okeechobee to the west coast of Florida. It was wonderful, look who came along for part of the ride!
