mist a fying

This early morning was so beautiful. The mist kept rolling in and the birds flew overhead.
And I was a bit of a disaster.
A singular swan bathed in front of my lens and then made a dramatic upward neck thrust and huge wing span. I got his bottom half and missed the head entirely. A pair of mallards swam together in the warm light under the changing leaves. My shutter speed was too slow and they are a blur, and I don't mean a pretty blur. Two huge swans flew overhead, their wings almost touching each other, calling out to the morning, I was aimed at something else.
But I will try again tomorrow because I love being out there.
