Daisy

She brought her bucket, and dug a hole in the sand, then she buried her feet and told me she lost them. We looked everywhere, did the birds take them? Soon they crabbed their way out of the sand and voila, feet were returned! What a relief.
Now we can run....

Merry Christmas

An old fashion Christmas greeting.
Grandma's red glass lived in a glass house that got crushed by hurricane Sandy. It was always bright and cheery and gave her so much pleasure. I thought you might like to soak in the Christmas red and transparent light.
Merry Christmas everyone.

still waiting

I know he's coming.
Is he here yet?
Wait…I think I see him.
No, that was a squirrel..
yep! There he is!
no wait that's not him.
That's him!
oh no that's not him
Where are you Santa?

daydreams

This is where I wait.
The UPS guy should be coming any minute.
I might like to have a bite of him.
No, no I was just woofing you. Really I was, I can dream can't I?

What's taking him so long….

on my wavelength

Imagine you are a feather floating on the surface. Up the wave you go, to the crest where it darkens and becomes turbulent then down you slide on the other side. A peaceful respite before it begins again. If you didn't take the journey you would never get there.

A flock of ….

Now you see them..

now you don't

They were in the hundred's on this cold winter beach day. They swooped from one tree to the next. There were so many, I was in awe of their numbers. They chirped and sang while I cranked my neck and froze in my boots wondering who they were?

frigid feathers

I can't help myself, I just love these birds

He hunkered down in a little pile of sunflower seeds that I put in the non functioning bird bath.

Puffing up helps to keep warm.

Blue jays won't come if they see me near the feeder, chicken….

birds of a feather crowd together

I love to go out and photograph the birds during a snow storm.
Between the bird feeder and the hydrangea bushes they are well taken care of in our backyard.

They even get used to me standing out there next to them.

A word from Tully

I was born in Texas and raised as a young puppy in Florida. I know my warm way around pretty much. I have climbed mountains, you remember that right? I have solved the mysteries of the 4th of July, I have followed the grandchildren to keep them in line. I have had my fair share of good sniffs. But THIS? What is THIS? Are you kidding me? Do you think this is fun? I don't think this is fun. I haven't pooped in two days and my face has frozen so I can't eat. Someone come save me, I can't take it much longer..
If you come I will donate my blue puff coat that mom makes me wear when we walk. woof

I have been practicing standing on one leg while brushing my teeth.
My teacher was this black necked stilt.

end of a day

This hibiscus has what it takes to create a Florida sunset.
