transitions

Overlooking the Bay means overlooking the last few trees that survived Hurricane Sandy. We have hung on to the last of them, the damaged rotting old beautiful trees that hold dear our family of songbirds. The trees that have given home to the woodpeckers, and have provided branches for the songbirds to congregate. So here you see the springtime way of seeing, the hopeful newness of possibilities, the bright pinks and blues. But I'm gathering strength to deal with losing the old souls and welcoming the young. It will be a process.
